12:05pm – 3:05pm The live feeds were blocked for the Power Of Veto competition. When the feeds return, we learn that Lyric won the veto.

Storage Room – Lyric and Melody
Lyric – yeah, so I’m going to see what Kamu says, and then I’ll let you know. Melody -Yeah. I think I’m fine. I’ve talked to him before. It was kind of being like, if you do renoms, like, are we good? And it seemed fine, so that’s good. That’s all I really care about right now. You know what I mean? Lyric – Yeah. You’re just on the block last week. He’s not going to put you back up, hopefully. Melody – Yeah.

Outside the HOH room – Haley and Dee
Dee – Lala is PISSED! Haley – I think we can get Jason out again. Dee – One hundred percent. Haley – So I say, get the drama and the f**k sh*t out of the way. There’s no shield hiding behind. Jason will now go crazy because after this, i’ll cut him off. Dee – So what’s he going to do? Haley – Because he may promise both of us. He’s gonna have no one. Dee – Well, no, you know, he has a lot. Taylor has nobody else. Do you think Taylor doesn’t have people? Actually doesn’t matter. Haley – I say get rid of Lala. Get rid of the f**k sh*t. Ice Jason out. Chuk joins them. Chuk says that he will continue to work on Lyric. Haley – I think getting rid of Lala would clear up the bullsh*t. Put up Jason, he is going to pull himself off. Get rid of Lala and let them scramble. Chuk – I think get rid of Jason because he is a competition threat. I think its going to be bullsh*t next week if Jason and Lala stay. One of them has to go.. and then f**k it put up Drew, Mallory and somebody else up.

Storage room – Lala and Lyric
Lala congratulates Lyric on winning the veto. Lyric – thank you. thank you. Lala – I love you. You know that I’ll do this game to protect, you know that I appreciate you, baby. Lyric – I do. I love you. It’s gonna be OK. I promise. I promise. Lala – I believe. Lyric leaves the room. Lala to herself – OK I gotta pull myself out of this, ’cause now I wanna go home why am I here? I just wanna go home and just be done. I know there’s still the blockbuster. I know there’s all that.

3:40pm Backyard – Jason and Lala
Jason – They wanted to get me, but they were using the Lyric. But also, you know, Haley’s in his ear, Haley’s in his ear. and of course she butts heads with you, so that just makes the most sense as to why. Lala – true. Jason – You know? Lala – I just hate the fact that I have to pack my clothes. Jason – that part sucks. Lala – best laid plans of mice and men. Low key glad that Mallory didn’t win. Jason – Chuk and Kamu kept saying Mallory is a beast. Lala – I mean she just won one competition.. I don’t think that would be that big of a target. I’m not good at sports sh*t like that.

3:54pm Storage Room Lyric and Mallory
Lyric – you’re going to be fine. Mallory – I don’t want to pack either. Like that is so sh*tty. Lyric – you’re going to be fine, I promise.

4:10pm Lounge Room – Mallory and Melody.
Mallory – I think Lala made a mistake picking Jason. They talk about the veto comp. Mallory I fee like if it was down to me and Kamu, he would have just thrown it to me cause then he doesn’t have to choose. Melody – exactly.

4:20pm – 4:40pm Backyard by the pool – Dee, Devens and Kamu
Kamu – Jason could very well have the power. Devens – Oh yeah. Kamu – but here’s what I think. We put them up anyway. And if he does have the power. He said that you (Devens) have the power. Devens – He’s going around saying, I have the power? Kamu – Dude, that’s a dead giveaway. He’s got the power, bro, because I haven’t said I haven’t once, like, try to, like, pretend like I have the power or accuse somebody else. We’ve got to put him up and flush it out. What are we not going to put him up for however many weeks?
Kamu – Jason could very well have the power. Devens – Oh yeah. Kamu – but here’s what I think. We put them up anyway. And if he does have the power. He said that you (Devens) have the power. Devens – He’s going around saying, I have the power? Kamu – Dude, that’s a dead giveaway. Kamu – if that core group keeps getting bigger, then we kind of lose the advantage of being a small core group. Devens – And if you give up that name, you’re giving them something that they can use against you if they need to. Kamu – or, or we create another alliance. Devens – I am kind of down. Kamu – we just call it something else. We can call it the Red Corner / Blue Corner. Devens – that way if you ever slip up and call it the wrong colour, you just say oh yeah wrong colour.
Drew joins them and Dee leaves. Devens – I think you’re totally in the loop on this but Jason is trying to pay everyone against each other. Drew – oh yeah. Devens – I honestly hope he doesn’t have the power but if he does its better to flush it out. We can’t be paralyzed for weeks.
Melody joins them. Kamu – we want Mallory to full beast mode the block buster. Its best case having Mallory compete against him (Jason). It’s literally what we talked about this morning. Its perfect.

5:00pm Dee and Deven

Dee: “We need to be set up for next week. Because right now, you feel the vibes, right? There’s some shit going on that we’re not knowing about.”
Dee recounts what Jason has been pitching — keep him, he’s a shield, he can take out Kamu — and that when she repeated it in front of Haley and Chuk, Chuk said Jason told him the same thing.
Dee: “You gotta let them fuckers talk. So I was just letting them talk, swirling my feet, stretching.”
Dee: “And then they start talking about like, yes, they still want to backdoor Jason. And then Haley’s like, I don’t want to backdoor Jason anymore. I want Lala gone. And I’m like, this bitch.”
Dee: “On the other end, they want to keep Mallory.”
Dee: “If our votes are not with them, and we don’t keep Mallory, they know that they’re fucked, because we can just keep rising.”
Dee: “Barrett and Mallory are like this.”
Dee: “Barrett has no relationship with the red corner, so we have to be very careful. Maybe we need to slip up on accident.”
Dee: “Haley was like, we should add Angela, and Kamu said no.”
Devens: “Kamu is already thinking about the next move. Does he really want to take out the little people?”
Dee: “He’s making deals. You can see him thinking.”
Dee: “My biggest worry is that Drew and Barrett already told him about the red corner. They are just playing us.”
Devens: “I don’t think so. But I think that that’s a legit worry.”

Devens: “Angela is so anti-Drew. That is going to blow up. If she gets HOH, I think she’s going to want to take out Drew. Which is fine.”
Devens: “Drew is a problem. He’s playing all sides. And I don’t know what he thinks that’s going to accomplish. Like, dude, you are not going to get jury votes. You are going to burn the hell out of people. You’re in an absolute horrible spot. You’ve accomplished nothing. You think this is a good game. This is not a good game.”
Dee: “He’s the most insidious, but also like—”
Devens: “What is our plan? Where’s our loyalty? Obviously, Angela, first and foremost.”
Dee: “I do think it should be with Kamu, Chuk, and Haley, because they’re easily—”
Dee: “Drew and Barrett are already doing their thing. 100%. 100%.”

On the power.
Devens: “I’m nervous about the power. I’m not gonna get it next week either — like, neither of us will get it next week. It’s just gonna get more and more ridiculous. But I also don’t want to tell people about it, because that doesn’t do any good. I guess you just, like, deny, deny, deny.”
Devens: “It does suck, the mechanics of it. It’s like, come on, they know we’re full of crap.”
Dee: “Haley upstairs was like, yeah, somebody thinks Lyric has it. You know — agree sometimes, disagree some other times. Play different ways. Not too much.”
Dee, on what she told Barrett: “My heart wants Rick to tell us, but I think he would tell at least one of us.”
Dee: “I think Jason should leave, because he would blow his game up. He would come after you in a heartbeat. Even today he was like, yeah, Devens has the power.”
Devens: “Even after he gets put up as the backdoor.”
Dee: “That’s a conversation we should have with him after. At this point we’re not sure Kamu is going to backdoor him.”
Dee: “That’s the hope, but we have two days of people putting this in his head, and he’s easily swayed.”

Devens: “Well, it’s nice that we have this safety net with the power.”
Dee: “Okay, so explain to me the power. Because we’ve never had this.”
Devens: “After, at the end of the veto ceremony, whatever happens, I can take any of the nominees off and replace them with anyone who’s not safe. So it’s like, if they try to shock us and backdoor one of us — immediately after they backdoor, I can say, not so fast. D, come back down. And put up their closest [ally] who is not safe.”
Dee: “So you go outside into the backdoor. Oh, I got backdoored. And then — ah. It’s like, fuckers.”
Devens: “Or worst case scenario, they put two of us up. I put one of us down and put up the biggest target we can find.”
Dee: “Either the biggest target we can find, or the weakest Blockbuster we can find. However we talk about it at the time.”

On the Time Capsule comp.
Devens: “You’re in a chair, surrounded by screens — like, it’s a circle of just screens, stacked on top of each other. The punishments are red screens. It says punishment one, punishment two, whatever. And the blue screens are powers. And then once it starts, you spin, plus the powers move around. Jump around. The whole time it spins with you, and you have to hit that to stop it. You’re trying to get the yellow on a power. It’s constantly changing, and if you land on the punishment, you get the punishment. You can wait as long as you want, but the one time you hit the button, it’s over.”
Devens: “And Angela seemed to indicate that it was totally random. And maybe she believed that. I saw a pattern.”
Dee: “You saw a pattern?”
Devens: “I saw a pattern.”

On Yash. Dee asks if he’s working with Drew.
Devens: “For the Dapper Dans. But for real, for real? I think so.”
Dee: “So you feel like you have influence over him, more than Kamu, Chuk?”
Devens: “I think combined we do. Maybe not me personally.”
Devens: “I feel like Yash is a good person to have. Like, I almost trust him more than Drew, to an extent. Oh, he would put me up immediately, though.”
Dee: “He would. But I don’t care right now.”
Devens: “Like, when Kamu won, the Dapper Dans got together and were like, this is perfect. Because he’s, like, the fifth Dan. He just doesn’t know it.”

On Taylor.
Dee: “Every time I talk to Taylor, it’s very like, she tries to diminish herself. Like, yeah, this is my first time playing Big Brother. Because she went around — obviously I’m gonna agree with her — we tried to save Jason last week, she fucking went around saying, okay, these are the numbers, we just need one more. So they wanted to bring in Haley.”
Dee: “Taylor is eventually going to be very dangerous. I mean, she memorizes everything. And Lala too. Even though physically Lala’s not there.”
Dee: “About, like, dates — I’ve not been memorizing any fucking dates. Dude, I haven’t done any of it. I haven’t done my homework at all.”
Devens: “I’m gonna go around the house just yelling out dates and numbers constantly. Just random dates and numbers, and just screw them up completely. You can’t write it down, so I’m gonna be like — oh yeah, that was April 10th. No, I mean, like, actively, so they know I’m screwing them. Constantly. Leading up to it, just all week long.”
Devens: “That’s all I got. That’s all I got is sabotage. Fuck. Although that won’t help with jury votes.”

On Mallory.
Dee: “I wish Mallory liked us, because she’s a little baller.”
Dee: “Sadly, it’s either her or Jason. But also, Angela has been working her. And Angela has been saying, like, hey — don’t put her up, because we won’t put up your friend. And, you know, you need friends. Like, she’s more motherly.”
Dee: “I think Mallory needs that, like, reassurance from, you know, like, a soft — and I’m not really that soft. So I’m trying.”
Devens: “That’s perfect.”
Devens: “And then Melody is just, like, anytime Drew’s there — give it 40 seconds, Melody’s gonna pop in.”

Dee: “Hey, we’re the only ones with a safety net right now. Literally, on my everything. But we need the next one. Honestly, after you having it, I’m like, oh, thank God. Because I want you to have it. I asked America — please give it to me.”
Devens: “And as much as I’m acting like, oh no, America hates us, I think it’s like, they’re supporting what we’re doing. They are supporting what we’re doing. We have to do something, right? We’re working hard and playing hard.”
Devens: “You’re the best. Oh my god, I’m so happy you’re here. Let’s fucking play.”
Dee: “Let’s play this game, okay?”
Devens: “Hey, these are my shoes. I have no idea where my shoes were.”

5:50pm Hammock – Lala and Angela
Angela – I want you here. Honestly, I do. Lala – I was, I mean, I was thrown for a curveball. Angela – I don’t know. I just am not involved in all the conversations. Lala – Yeah. Angela – but I’m trying to be more now so that I can hear things. Lala – Yeah. Angela – I’m trying without being annoying. If we could do this, we could do anything. We’re the oldest in the house. And we did not go home first. We did not go home second. Lala – there you go, you’re right. Angela – just keep being you and have fun. Find your pockets of peace in here.

Where it stands

The Jason backdoor is no longer a consensus. Haley told Dee to her face she’d rather Lala go, Drew and Barrett want Mallory kept, and Dee and Devens say out loud they’re not sure Kamu follows through — two days until the ceremony, people in his ear, easily swayed. The Diamond Power of Veto is their insurance against exactly that wobble: if the ceremony shocks them, “not so fast.” The cover has strain — Devens admits the mechanics make them look full of crap, and Dee performed ignorance to Barrett while being the one person Devens told — and the man the house pinned the power on is the only one pinning it correctly: per Dee, Jason is telling people Devens has it.

The inner map is explicit now. Red Corner is the unit, Angela first, ride with Kamu, Chuk and Haley for now, Drew and Barrett marked. And Devens, hours after playing Dapper Dan with Drew, called Drew’s game insidious and jury-burning — while his own line ties the day together: Kamu is the fifth Dan, he just doesn’t know it. Both poles of the house now count Kamu as theirs, and the two people he suspects least are the only ones who can rewrite his ceremony.
