Devens Is Ready to Blow It All Up: Secret Diamond Veto, Save Dee & Flip the House on Monday…

Devens Is Ready to Blow It All Up: Secret Diamond Veto, Save Dee & Flip the House on Monday…\\\\\

We anxiously awaited Saturday’s Veto Competition results to see just what this could mean for the recent debate by Devens and Dee on what should happen with his secret Diamond Power of Veto. Now those spoilers are in, the HOH’s Noms appear set, and here comes Devens’s spotlight opportunity.

Shortly after the Feeds returned from the Veto comp we saw Rick in the exercise room with Kamu with some verbal high fives over Yash’s Veto win to secure his Noms, avoid any renoms for a 4th HG, and get his target out. Then after Kamu left the room, Rick added a “maybe the person you want. Maybe not so much,” with a big grin to the camera. He followed that up with a long sit and stare session that left me questioning if Devens was really to make such a big move.

Devens is sitting clean and clear with the current HOH, Yash, and Yash’s new right-hand, Kamu. There is zero danger here for Rick this week but his allies Dee and Angela are definitely in trouble. Would he be willing to risk his own strong position to save Dee, burn his power, and move his token over to the danger zone going forward even if this plan doesn’t work out? If you’ve watched Rick Devens before then you know that answer is yes, he is ready.

Talking to himself alone in the exercise room Rick went through several scenarios and what he’d need to do. Here’s what he’s thinking. On Monday Devens can use his DPOV to save Dee and name the renom. Now it becomes a question of how big does he go with the renom? Play it safe with something like a LaLa renom or go big with a swing at Kamu? “I think I’m going to blow it up,” declares Devens.

That means Kamu as the renom which also loses him Yash immediately. To offset those two losses he proposes they can bring in a merger of the Crossovers’ five plus Mallory and Melody for a headcount of seven to control the votes even with Angela still on the Block and a buffer since there will be nine votes this Thursday, no chance of a tie, and five to decide.

Rick went to Barrett and suggested, “it might be time to FAP up the Crossovers. What do you think?” Barrett said he was good with that idea. Devens likes this move because he noted that would bring in all five of “America’s Players” as he put it, which really means the five so far who got the Time Capsule votes from viewers. And if my expectations are right, Drew gets the sixth spot which means it’s everyone on that one alliance. “That’s a thank-you to Big Brother fans, isn’t it?” proposed Rick to the camera earlier.

Devens has been working around the house and now is talking with Dee. She loves the plan but also wants to be cautious that they don’t blow things up with Taylor too in the process. But what? Tell Taylor before this happens on Monday? Nah, let’s make this a proper Blindside, right?

Monday is going to be nuts and unless someone talks Devens out of this move it looks very likely to happen. Veto meeting rolls up, Yash says no he won’t use the veto, he goes to close the box with the medallion in it and adjourn when Rick raises his hand… The fallout is going to be incredible so clear your schedule on Monday afternoon then don’t miss Wednesday’s episode to see how it went down in full.
